Zaira Palumbo is a classical soprano based in Norfolk having recently graduated with a BMus (Hons) in Vocal Performance and her LTCL in Vocal Teaching fromTrinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance under the tutelage of Joan Rodgers CBE and Anna Tilbrook.
Zaira has a wealth of experience within the classical genre and has performed in many concert venues and churches including Blackheath Halls, Norwich Theatre Royal, Old Royal Naval College Chapel – Greenwich, Clare College Chapel – Cambridge, St Andrews Hall – Norwich, King Georges Hall - Blackburn and Sheringham Little Theatre.
Zaira was a semi-finalist at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod in 2013 as well as taking part in the Norfolk Young Musician Competition and The Kathleen Ferrier Bursary Competition in 2015. She has performed as the soprano soloist in Haydn: The Seasons, Schubert: Mass in C, Purcell: Come ye sons of art and Pergolesi: Stabat Mater.
Zaira also has a strong passion for musical theatre and has performed the roles of Fantine: Les Miserables, Carlotta : The Phantom of the Opera and Grace Farrell: Annie.
Alongside performing, Zaira is a peripatetic singing teacher and vocal coach. She is currently Musical Director of The Broadland Youth Choir, Mundesley Community Choir and Red Loft Theatre Company.
